The Color Of Your Skin Tells You How Healthy You Really Are

 A Velvety Outbreak

Something like this popping up on your skin may be telling you that cancer may be chewing on the health of an internal organ, such as the stomach or liver, or you’re highly prone to developing type 2 diabetes.

What you should do next: check your blood sugar levels. Chances are that you may be pre-diabetic. So it’s essential that you avoid slipping into the diabetes, by watching out your diet and eating more power foods lowering your blood sugar like:

  • apples
  • cinnamon
  • cold water fish – Alaskan salmon, sardines, Atlantic mackerel
  • lentils
  • chickpeas
  • beef steak
  • green tea
  • nuts

A Purple Rash

A purple rash which does not respond to conventional treatment is signaling a hepatitis C infection.

What you should do next: just to be on the safe side, also watch out for the following flu-like symptoms:

  • sore muscles
  • joint pain
  • fever
  • nausea,
  • poor appetite
  • stomach pain
  • dark urine

If you notice any of these symptoms, you should have some blood tests just to confirm that you do, in fact, have the disease.

Yellow Skin

Most of the times, jaundice can indicate liver failure.

What you should do next: ask your doctor to perform a few liver function tests (ALT, AST, ALP, GGT).

And if everything turns back normal, then make sure you supplement your diet with a few of these vitamins:

  • A – there’s plenty of that in milk, liver, orange fruits, orange vegetables and dark, green, or leafy vegetables.
  • B12 – you can find in fortified foods such as cereal and bread.
  • C – berries, citrus fruits, sweet red peppers, tomatoes, broccoli and cabbage.

Darker Skin

This could be an important sign of hormonal disorders (Addison’s disease).

What you should do next: – you should know: hormonal imbalances trigger weight gain and worsen many other nasty symptoms like:

  • painful breasts
  • migraines
  • cellulite
  • poor libido
