When was the last time you treated yourself to a good massage or a day at the spa?
Probably you can’t even remember it. But I’m here to change your mind.
The Vicious Cycle
Our lives are now sketched around the sofa and TV or laptop.
And, even though you might think this is the best way to unwind…There are some things you need to know.
We were designed to have more muscle mass than fat. This is a clear indicator that we’re supposed to be active.
Unfortunately, nowadays very little people have active jobs and most succumb to a sedentary life.
Not only that, but most of us have a hectic schedule. Responsibilities pile up, and after a long day, we barely have time to take a shower and then get under the covers.
The same old tune, we don’t make time for ourselves, we feel more tired and less productive. This turns into frustration.
Days pass by, and this starts affecting our relationships with people, and we become even grumpier.
And this is just a small part of the psychological effect of this issue.
The Pressure Your Body’s In
Do you know what’s causing your neck and back pain?
Sitting too much and keeping a seemingly comfortable position when using your laptop or watching TV has a damaging impact on your spine.
Moreover, your muscles become tensed and instead of supporting, they affect the bone structure.
These aches that occur also affect your mood and productivity.
Sounds Too Familiar?
If you know what I’m talking about, it means you need a massage as soon as possible.
If you think you don’t have enough time for it, make some.
Whether you have a crazy work schedule or you spend the evenings watching TV, consider it an investment in your health.
It’s not (only) a treat, it’s something mandatory that will help you break that vicious cycle of tiredness.
Start with one session a week if your time is really limited.
Your mood will instantly improve, and so will your productivity and relationships.
Oh, and you’ll start enjoying it so much that you’ll want to make time for more!
What do you think?
Will you try it out?
