It seems like feeling full of energy and ready to tackle whatever a new day throws at you is harder and harder as time passes by.
The truth is the cold weather isn’t a good ally, either. On the contrary, it invites you to stay in bed all day long, with a warm cup of tea, reading or watching TV.
However, if you long for the days when you barely got tired and could still handle all remaining tasks at the end of the day, here are the most important three things you need to do:
1. Switch coffee and energizers with black tea.
The kind of energy you get from caffeine-based products is only giving you a temporary hype and then leaves you in a lethargic state.
This happens because caffeine forces the nervous system and also dislocates glycogen from the reserves you have in the liver and muscles.
On the other hand, black tea only stimulates the neuronal activity in such way that it enhances its performance.
Moreover, the energy it gives you is the result of the cleansing of the body, which means it flushes out the toxins that hinder your body from its normal functional capacity.
2. Have a large breakfast.
The best thing to do in the morning is to eat a healthy meal. There have passed at least 6 or 7 hours since the last time you ate, and your body is depleted of energy.
Your organism is a constant consumer; therefore it needs an even distribution of energy throughout the day.
Whole grains, fresh vegetables and a good source of protein (peanut butter, eggs, or cheese) make the perfect breakfast.
3. Start your day with a positive thought.
Sometimes, the tiredness is the physical symptom of our stress and worries.
Do you remember a time where you felt tired, but got a phone call with good news and jumped out of your skin with joy?
Every day after waking up, be grateful for something good that has recently happened and put a smile on your face.
You’ll feel more energetic than you have in a long time!
