Eye Health – 7 Tips to Naturally Sharpen Your Eyesight

Ditch your glasses and naturally sharpen your eyesight with easy, free, and effective tricks.

Eye health does not necessarily require creams, pills or gimmicks.

A patient asked me recently how come I don’t need glasses at my age. I replied without thinking: ‘Eye rolling.’ I know what you’re thinking, but of course, I didn’t mean this kind of eye rolling ->

Just like your mind and muscles, your eyes need exercise, too.

Especially if you focus a lot on something like:

  • Knitting
  • Drawing
  • Writing
  • Reading a book
  • Watching the screen for hours…

All of these and other similar activities cause eye-strain, which in time can trigger blurry vision and even eyesight problems.

Now, this doesn’t mean you should stop doing these activities, not in the least. Instead, I have a much better solution.

Eye Exercises 

Not only will it maintain optimal vision, but your eyesight can improve in under one month!

Here is what you can do to keep your eyes healthy:

Eye rolls

You start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Do this three times.


Take a pen and hold it at arm’s length. Focus your eyes on it and slowly bring the pen closer to your face until it’s about 6 inches away from your nose.

Keep your focus on the pen and slowly move it back. Do this 10 times with slow movements.

Temple massage

Place your thumb knuckles on your temples and massage in small circles. 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other.

Repeat the massage above the mid-point of your eyebrows, then below your eyes on both sides of your nose bridge.

Mini-nap/ Meditation

Close your eyes and relax for three minutes. This is particularly helpful if you have eye fatigue.

The ’50-10′ rule

For every 50 minutes that you spend reading or watching your tablet or computer, rest your eyes for 10 minutes (close them or perform eye exercises).

You should perform these eye exercises every day in order to actually see the difference.

Also don’t turn a blind eye to nutrition!

Literallydeficiency in certain nutrients can cause macular degeneration (an age-related illness), which is the leading cause of blindness.

The health of your eyes is directly linked to what you eat so if you want to prevent that, make sure you add these to your diet:

  1. Yellow and green vegetables like:
    • dark leafy greens
    • yellow peppers
    • pumpkin
    • sweet potatoes
    • carrots
  2. Sulfur-rich foods such as:
    • Garlic
    • Onions
    • Shallots
    • Capers
  3. Antioxidant-rich fruits like:
    • Blueberries
    • Grapes
    • goji berries
  4. Fish with high quantities of DHA, such as:
    • Wild salmon
    • Sardines
    • Mackerel
    • Cod

Also, don’t forget to check your eyes at the doctor once a year.

Now, these are simply things to do if you want to never experience eye problems again.
